Watch the Taboo Hunters in conversation
Filming with Rubikin , a gender-neutral who spoke about her taboo behavior of fem domination, consensual rape and bondage.
While most people don't talk about sexual taboos openly or brush them under the carpet, leading Behavioural Hypnotherapist and Regressionist Nicolas Aujula and TV presenter Lisa Palmer have been talking to and meeting people with taboos behaviours like gender identity, incest, necrapiliha, fetishes, exhibitionists etc to understand the origins of such acts. One of their cases, Rubikin, a gender-neutral who indulges in fem domination, consensual rape and bondage was explored through a short film directed by Ros Owino.
With the media focusing on a string of high-profile men like Rolf Harris and others being convicted of abuse it's clear that forced sexual behaviors can be inherent by those in power, including religious organisations like the Catholic Church. Whilst the duo clearly agree what perpetrators of sexual abuse, paedophiles and rapists do is wrong, Nicolas and Lisa were keen to understand the mind-set and backgrounds of those indulging in sexual extremes.
Lisa says “There must be a underlying reason to why people perform certain extreme forced or consensual sexual activities that deepened my interest in understanding taboos better. I guess I'm lucky that I had a good upbringing and was never exposed to such things however I do feel childhood experiences and even porn plays a role as it can put ideas into people's mind and influence them. As a Dating Coach that deals with relationships everyday, I was keen to explore extreme behaviors and work with Nicolas. I used to suffer from migraines and was on 4 pills a week for 25 years however Nicolas' therapy cured me overnight. I was keen to see how this technique could shed light on these taboos.”
The project started after the duo came across a female case of incest in early 2014 who shared an intimate relationship with her brother, it brought home the world of taboo activities.
